The Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Prime Minister’s Office Director-1 Mohammad Rafiqul Alam, in a letter signed on February 3, 2021, gave a copy to the personal information of the Ministry of Education, the Prime Minister’s Private Secretary-1, the Secretary of the Prime Minister’s Office and the Director-General of the Prime Minister’s Office.

According to the letter, the Prime Minister has approved the proposal to set up a full-fledged public university in Naogaon district. According to the Prime Minister’s earlier announcement of the proposal to set up the university, the semi-official letter was submitted by the Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumder.
Meanwhile, confirming the notification, Naogaon-1 (Niamatpur-Porsha-Sapahar) constituency MP and Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumder said the program would be started soon. Two possible places have already been visited for the university. Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumder thanked Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on behalf of Naogaon residents for approving the proposal.
